Team
Robin McCoy, Director of Culinary Programs and Executive Pastry Chef at Oak Grove Culinary Creations, is a self-taught dessert artist with a passion for transforming lives through baking. Originally from the Midwest, she developed her culinary skills at her family’s restaurant in Gary, IN. After relocating to California in 2003, she founded “Robin’s Nest Desserts and Catering” in San Diego, quickly earning recognition, including a feature in San Diego Bride and Groom Magazine.
In 2011, after obtaining her MBA, Robin launched a stylish dessert bistro in Old Town Temecula, where her innovative creations, like the Lemon-Lavender Bar, garnered attention in various publications. Today, she leads the culinary program at Oak Grove Center, teaching baking to foster care and at-risk youth.
Robin’s dedication to her craft and community has earned her numerous accolades, including a feature in San Diego Voyager in 2019 as one of “San Diego’s Most Inspiring Stories” and recognition in Inland Empire Magazine’s June 2023 edition celebrating women leaders.

Emily joined the Oak Grove Culinary Creations Pastry Team in 2019 and has been a professional pastry chef since 2013. Her prior experience includes a variety of restaurants including the world-famous Universal Studio Hollywood Back Lot. Emily is classically trained in French Pastry and is a graduate of the Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School.

Since 2019, Alexis has been part of the Oak Grove Culinary Creations Pastry Team. She began her culinary career in 2014 and has worked for previously for companies such as Bon Appetit, as well as various restaurants and catering companies. Alexis’ specialty is cheesecake. Her involvement with youth spans her career and includes volunteering, producing kid’s culinary competitions and mentoring. Alexis earned her Associates in Baking and Pastry from the Argosy University-The Art Institute of California-Inland Empire.
